Aramaic tituli “Ahasuerus” and “Esther” identity the enthroned king and queen on the right of the panel. The king wears a Phrygian cap with a diadem, and his tunic and long-sleeved outer coat are elaborately decorated. The queen’s turreted crown resembles those worn by figures of Tyche and other goddesses in relief sculptures from Dura.
