Three Yale organs to feature in series of public recitals

As part of the 2023 Yale Organ Week to be held from June 18-24 in New Haven, CT, the Yale Institute of Sacred Music is offering a series of organ recitals which are free and open to the public. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear music played on three of Yale’s organs, including Woolsey Hall’s Newberry Organ, the Bozyan Organ in Dwight Chapel, and the Battell Chapel organ.

Monday, June 19: A progressive organ recital with Yale organ professors Martin Jean and James O’Donnell

  • 7:30 p.m. in Battell Chapel (400 College but enter through Elm St. door)
  • 8:10 p.m. in Dwight Chapel (67 High)
  • 8:50 p.m. in Woolsey Hall (500 College)

Tuesday, June 20: A progressive organ recital with Yale Organ Week guest artists Janette Fishell (Indiana University Jacobs School of Music), Nathan Laube (Eastman School of Music), and Jonathan Moyer (Oberlin Conservatory of Music)

  • 7:30 p.m. in Dwight Chapel (67 High)
  • 8:15 p.m. in Woolsey Hall (500 College)

Thursday, June 22: Organ recital by students from Yale Organ Week
