Music Ministry in the Black Church: Challenge and Innovation
4:00 pm | Niebuhr Hall, SDQ. A working group of experts in Music and the Black Church, including the leaders of the music ministries of The Potter’s House (Dallas, TX), The Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church (Atlanta, GA), and Greater Centennial AME Zion Church (Mt. Vernon, NY), gathered for discussion.

In the Sanctuary: Symposium
12:30 pm | Old Refectory, SDQ. Presentations and performances by Dr. W. James Abbington, Dr. Charrise Barron, Rev. Dr. Luke Powery, Rev. Dr. Rodney Teal, Dr. Louise Toppin, and various musical guests will culminate in a sermon by Bishop W. Darin Moore, presiding prelate of the Mid-Atlantic Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.
