Katya Vetrov, new events coordinator
Katya Vetrov joins the Institute of Sacred Music as the new events program coordinator after working in several faculty and administrative positions in the New Haven area. Most recently, Katya taught art at Wilbur Cross High School and art history at Gateway Community College. She also has experience in theater design and production, having taught courses on theater and worked in theater production at Quinnipiac University in a number of roles over the past decade. Some of the productions she has worked on include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hamlet, Next to Normal, and Doubt.
Katya studied theater design and production at the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts, where she earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in theater. In her spare time, she enjoys printmaking on a vintage Vandercook letterpress and hiking with her dog, Zelly.
