Congratulations to ISM alumni Emily Boring, M.Div. ‘23, on multiple achievements. Following graduation, Emily has been serving as associate rector of All Souls Episcopal Church in Berkeley, California, and last month was ordained to the priesthood in the Diocese of Western Oregon. In addition, she recently received a publisher advance for a forthcoming book of nonfiction essays about selfhood, belonging, and resilience. Previously, Emily’s writing has appeared in has appeared in The Atlantic, The Christian Century, Yale Scientific, Yale Literary Magazine, and Yale Distilled, among others.
