Ally Huffmire M.A.R. ‘26 is pursuing a Master of Arts in Religion focusing on Second Temple Period Judaism. She holds a bachelor’s degree in ancient Near Eastern studies with an emphasis in Hebrew Bible and a minor in history. During the summers of 2022 and 2023, she volunteered in the Huqoq excavation project, participating in the excavation of a monumental late Roman synagogue. Ally’s research interests center on the material culture of Roman Palestine and the intersection of sacred texts, ritual studies, and artistic expression.
