Augie studies worship in early Christianity and late antiquity, liturgical and sacramental theology, and Catholic liturgy. He is particularly interested in blending together his work as a church musician, his passion for the engagement of youth in music and worship, and his scholarly interest in the ancient world. He is the organist of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven and has sung in chorister programs since the age of eight. He earned his B.A. in classics and music from Bowdoin College in 2023.
