Description: The Rev. Dr. Lizette Larson-Miller is the Huron-Lawson Professor of Liturgy at Huron University College, part of the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, where she teaches in the BTh, the MDiv, the MTS, and the MA degree programs. She serves on the Worship and Doctrine Committee for the Diocese of Huron, consults on liturgical texts for the Anglican Church of Canada, is the Chair of IALC (International Anglican Liturgical Consultation), and is the immediate past-president of Societas Liturgica. Lizette has degrees in choral conducting, church music, liturgy, and sacramental theology.

She has written extensively on liturgical history and theology, particularly on rites with the sick, dying, and dead, including The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick (Liturgical Press 2005) and “Dying and Death” in The Alcuin Guide to the Study of Liturgy and Worship (SPCK 2013); on the history of the Eucharist, including “The Liturgical Inheritance of the Late Empire in the Middle Ages” in A Companion to the Eucharist in the Middle Ages (Brill 2012) and “The evolution of Eucharistic practices, 3rd-5th centuries” in The Oxford Handbook of Early Christian Ritual (forthcoming 2017); on the rites of initiation, including “Baptism in the Medieval West” (Studia Liturgica 42 (2012) Drenched in Grace: Essays in Baptismal Ecclesiology inspired by the Work and Ministry of Louis Weil, editor (Wipf & Stock 2013), and on sacramental theology. Her most recent book is Sacramentality Renewed: Contemporary Conversations in Sacramental Theology, published in April 2016 by Liturgical Press, Collegeville. She is assisting priest at St. John the Evangelist Collegiate Chapel, an Anglican parish in the Diocese of Huron.
