In keeping with a longstanding ISM tradition, the Yale Schola Cantorum will open its concert season with a special Evensong service at Christ Church. This Evening Prayer service, common in the Anglican practice, consists of a series of verses, responses, psalm selections, lessons, canticles, and other prayers, many of which are typically sung. All are invited to participate in the singing of hymns, with arrangements by Christopher Rouse and David Hill, Schola’s principal conductor. Schola’s contribution to the service includes:
