Watch the "Last Dance" performance by Feral Theatre
On September 7, the U.K. based performance trio, Feral Theatre, performed their new piece, “Last Dance” to a sold-out crowd in ISM’s Miller Hall. The work, which centered on interaction with a sand-filled sculpture, raised questions about what happens when we face challenges such as irreversible change and the aftermath of loss.
Last Dance was the first event in the yearlong series sponsored by ISM’s Religion, Ecology and Expressive Culture Initiative. Launched in January 2023, the initiative’s aim is to amplify cross-disciplinary and integrative work at the intersection of religion, ecology, and expressive culture. The initiative offers important resources to academic audiences and the broader public though the hosting of events and symposia, and the funding of individual and team projects. Read more about the initiative and view the 2023-24 series of events, all of which are free and open to the public.
