Cappella Pratensis to perform at Yale on Wednesday
Cappella Pratensis is visiting Yale this week! The professional ensemble, renowned for its innovative approach to the performance of Renaissance polyphonic music, has been holding workshops for ISM students. One of the workshops was held in the Irving S. Gilmore Music Library where the group sang from original manuscripts from the Yale University Library archives. Choir members also joined with the Voxtet to explore music by Josquin for a performance later this term. On Wednesday Cappella Pretensis will sing in the ISM’s student colloquium and at 7:30 p.m., they will perform a concert of Missa Aurea in Dwight Chapel which is free and open to the public.
