Congratulations to Dr. Loraine Enlow!

Warmest congratulations to ISM admissions coordinator, Loraine Enlow, who has successfully completed her doctorate with distinction at the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) in Hebrew Bible and Its Interpretation. Dr. Enlow’s dissertation is on the hermeneutics of translation in Hebrew-Latin Psalters in twelfth and thirteenth century England, and the ways in which medieval Christian scholars relied on Jewish biblical commentaries.
Dr. Enlow will also be the student speaker at JTS’ upcoming commencement ceremony. She also has forthcoming articles in Harvard Theological Review and the journal Religions. Upon graduation, in addition to her work at the ISM, she will stay on at JTS as adjunct assistant professor in the Bible department.
