Originally from Indianapolis, Daniel began his journey at the Ailey School in New York City. He holds an undergraduate degree in liberal arts with a concentration on international relations, cum laude, from Harvard, where he also worked as a research faculty aide. He holds a Master’s in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania. His professional and academic work and dedication as a volunteer coach for children and families impacted by chronic illness, Daniel’s interest has centered on the intersection of creativity, human rights, education, health and well-being as a path toward justice and belonging. At Yale he is eager to apply his academic background and passion for global development and peace-building in deepening his understanding of how storytelling and theology can serve as a catalyst for social change in global urban communities.
