Job Description: St. Thomas’s Episcopal Church (New Haven) seeks a TENOR for the upcoming season, beginning in September 2025. Paid singers serve as section leaders with the Choir (an ensemble of approximately 15-20 voices), providing support and guidance to our volunteers, while also serving as soloists as needed. They also are members of the all-professional Schola Antiqua which primarily performs one-to-a-part in repertoire of the Baroque and earlier. A regular Sunday includes a 9am call for a 10am service running about an hour and then a rehearsal from approximately 11:30am-1pm, with a break for the church’s coffee hour between service and rehearsal. Compensation is $75 per call; a morning service and post-service rehearsal constitutes two calls, meaning a typical Sunday pays $150. There is no regular weeknight rehearsal.
