Job description: The Choir of St. James the Less in Scarsdale, NY, has an opening for a tenor section leader. A diverse, theologically inclusive and welcoming congregation, music is a vital part of the life of the parish. The Choir of St. James continues their great tradition of Anglican choral music, with the recent addition of choristers to the choir. We are seeking professional singers who are trained in the Anglican choral tradition, comfortable with psalm singing, demonstrates good reading skills, has a blended choral sound, and can lead and guide their sections with care and collegiality. The weekly commitment is as follows: Sundays Service: 10:30am Call: 9:30am Weekly Rehearsal Thursdays 7-9pm Call: $135/call; $270/week Anticipated $145/call beginning in January Located in lower Westchester County, St. James is easily accessible from NYC and is a short walk from the Scarsdale train station.
