ISM faculty member honored

Walden Moore

Congratulations to Yale Institute of Sacred Music and Yale School of Music professor Walden Moore, who was recently named an honorary fellow of the Royal School of Church Music, “[a]warded for achievements in church music and/or liturgy of internationally recognized significance, or for exceptional musical and/or liturgical work within the RSCM that has had an impact at a national level.” 

The RSCM will present its 2026 awards at its annual Celebration Day in Salisbury Cathedral later this year.

In addition to his teaching duties at Yale, Walden Moore has served as the ISM’s interim co-director of chapel music, and for 40 years was the director of music for New Haven’s Trinity Church, working with the renowned Choir of Men and Boys, the Choir of Adults and Girls, and the parish mixed-adult choir in a regular schedule of parish services and outside appearances.
